Who We Are

Supporting Minnesota’s mental health and SUD safety net.

We are MACMHP (pronounced Mac-Map) — Minnesota’s Association of Community Mental Health Programs.

MACMHP is a statewide network of 35 mental and chemical health providers serving over 200,000 people every year. Our member organizations serve all who come to them seeking mental and chemical health services, regardless of their insurance status or their ability to pay.

This means low-income, uninsured, and public program patients who cannot access services elsewhere. Our programs provide wrap-around and community-based services to very complex, culturally diverse, and vulnerable patients — with compassion and coordinated care.

Defining Community Mental Health

Community mental health is the answer to one of healthcare’s hardest challenges. Community mental health programs provide compassionate, coordinated care that keeps patients living at home and connected to their communities.
