A True Champion for Community Mental Health Care!

Our Executive Director, Jinny Palen, presented Office of U.S. Senator Tina Smith with the Legislator of the Year Award from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing on June 4, 2026.

Senator Smith has consistently focused on the vital role that strong local infrastructure plays in the well-being of our communities. In Washington, her work has centered on practical solutions that support local providers, community clinics, and families every day.

Whether working to expand the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, supporting workforce development, or protecting access to rural telehealth, her legislative focus is aimed at real, positive results. We are incredibly grateful for Senator Smith’s focus, her collaborative approach, and her dedication to bringing lasting stability and peace of mind to families across Minnesota.
